NAVIERA MURUETA, S.A. was founded during the month of December of 1967, in Bilbao, to dedicate itself to the marine transport, sector in which comes developing its activity from that date.

The company is following the policy to renew its fleet, trying to adapt to the necessities of the market as far as tonnages and types that come demanding at every moment.

Fruit of the exigencies of every period, the Society has had in property the following ships:

C. BETOLAZA, Mª To ARRUE, IGNACIO TORO, BEGOÑA OF ASTOBIZA, ANZORAS, AKORDA, ARRI, ARKETAS, AXPE, ARTEAGA SECOND, ALBIZ, KANALA, ANDRAMARI, KORTEZUBI, ELEXALDE, PEDERNALES, PORTUONDO, PORTUBIDE and ALTEA.

At the moment it operates in property the ships “Kortezubi, Elexalde, Pedernales, Portuondo and Altea”, and handles from his construction, in the month of January of 1994, the ship ' Luno, of 4,461 T.P.M., that hoists pavilion chipriota.

All the ships are prepared for the transport of containers and special-purpose charges.
