Founded in 1906, COMPAÑIA DE REMOLCADORES IBAIZABAL, S.A. it has been, since then, dedicated mainly to the service of the Port and Laughs of Bilbao with a fleet that at the moment is made up of 15 tugboats and a self-propelled rain tank for provision of water to the ships. Five units basically are dedicated to the ship operations on watch in the oil port.

They emphasize tugboats GETXO, GERNIKA, GALDAMES, GATIKA, IBAIZABAL FIVE and IBAIZABAL SIX of the type Voith Water Tractor, totally automated and equipped with modern fire-fighting equipment of the Maxima level "Fi - Fi 1", fights antipollution and rescue.

COMPAÑIA DE REMOLCADORES IBAIZABAL, S.A. has also been dedicated throughout its history to the transatlantic tows of ships, floating barges, pontonas and other devices with its ocean-going tugs IBAIZABAL ONE, IBAIZABAL TWO, IBAIZABAL THREE and IBAIZABAL FOUR of 4,000/4,500 H.P. and 55 tons of shot to fixed point.
